Can KTRL Be Reused After One Session?
KTRL is a single-use patch. Once it has been worn and removed, dispose of it as directed. A short session, remaining stickiness, or apparent battery power does not make it reusable.

No. KTRL Portable Smart Patch, model WDC201, is a single-use patch. Once a session ends, do not save it for another occasion or give it to someone else. During the same use, you may switch it off and reattach it to correct adhesion or placement. That adjustment does not reset the 30-minute cumulative powered-on limit or permit later reuse. 1
By KTRL | Updated:
A short experience, remaining stickiness or apparent battery power does not make a used patch reusable. The key distinction is whether you are adjusting the patch within the same use or starting a new session after the previous one has ended.
What counts as one use?
One patch is for one wearer during one use. That use may include a powered-off pause or a necessary placement adjustment. Once you finish the experience and end product use, do not keep the patch for a later occasion or pass it to another person. 1
You finish after five minutes: the session has ended, so you cannot save the patch or its unused time for another attempt later that evening.
You switch off to correct poor adhesion: reattachment is permitted while the same use continues, provided you follow the placement, comfort and timing rules below.
There is no stated number of minutes that makes storage and later reuse acceptable. A permitted pause within one use is not permission to save a worn patch for another session.
How the 30-minute limit works
For WDC201, the maximum is 30 minutes of cumulative powered-on time during the same use. Add together every interval when the patch is switched on. Time switched off does not count, but switching on again continues the previous total. 1
| Situation | What happens to the time allowance? |
|---|---|
| Activity pauses while the patch stays on. | Powered-on time continues to count. |
| You switch the patch off. | The switched-off interval does not count. |
| You switch it on again during the same use. | Continue the previous total. |
| You remove and reattach it for a permitted adjustment. | The accumulated total is unchanged; no new allowance begins. |
| The session has ended. | Unused minutes cannot be carried into another session. |
For example, 8 minutes on + 5 minutes off + 7 minutes on = 15 minutes of cumulative powered-on time. The five-minute off period does not count and does not reset the total.
Keep track of the total yourself; do not assume the patch has an automatic timer or shut-off function. Thirty minutes is a maximum, not a target or a promise about intercourse duration. You may stop sooner whenever you choose.
When you may reattach the patch
You may reattach the patch to correct inadequate adhesion or placement during the same use, after switching it off. Removing and reattaching it for this purpose is different from storing it for a later session. 1
Switch off first. Hold the power button for at least three seconds before gently removing the patch.
Correct the position or adhesion. Reattach it only in the instructed position. You may gently curve it to fit the skin; do not fold it or bend it sharply or excessively.
Continue the existing time total. If you switch it on again, add that interval to the powered-on time already used.
If it still will not adhere properly, is damaged or behaves abnormally, stop using it and contact KTRL Support. Do not keep repositioning it to continue through discomfort.
For the instructed direction, rear-edge distance and skin preparation, see Where to Apply KTRL and How to Prepare Your Skin.
Stopping, removal and disposal
End use whenever you choose, and stop immediately for pain, stinging, burning, redness, swelling, itching or other obvious discomfort. Switch off and gently remove the patch. Do not replace it with another patch to continue through the same discomfort. 1
If discomfort persists, discontinue further use and consult a qualified healthcare professional. A damaged, unusually hot, abnormal or malfunctioning product also requires stopping and contacting support. These are reasons to stop, not ordinary adhesion adjustments.
How to finish the session
Hold the power button for at least three seconds to switch off.
Gently remove the patch and do not retain it for another session.
Keep it away from children and pets.
Follow local requirements for disposing of battery-containing electronics. Ask your local waste service if the collection route is unclear.
Do not dismantle, puncture, crush or burn the patch. Disposal routes vary by location; do not assume it belongs in ordinary household waste.
Frequently asked questions
Single use applies to the complete product, including the adhesive and batteries. The following answers cover short sessions, cleaning and future use.
Can I save KTRL if I only used it for a few minutes?
No. Once that session ends, do not store the patch for another attempt, even on the same day. Unused powered-on minutes do not transfer to a later session.
Can I reuse it if it still sticks or seems to have power?
No. Remaining stickiness, an unchanged appearance or apparent battery power does not authorise another use. Do not pass the worn patch to someone else either.
Can I wash or recharge the patch for another session?
No. Do not wash, soak or clean it to restore it for reuse. WDC201 uses two non-rechargeable LR927 batteries; do not recharge, dismantle or modify the product. 1
How often can I use a fresh patch?
The single-use rule does not establish a recommended frequency for repeated sessions. For a future occasion, use a fresh patch only when your skin condition and all product restrictions permit use; do not use a new patch to continue through discomfort.
Before a future use, read the full preparation and safety checklist in How to Use KTRL for the First Time. If the model or instructions supplied with your patch differ, clarify the discrepancy with support before starting.
